WATERCOLOUR 1 with Monica Long
I studied at Falmouth and then the Royal College of Art, becoming an associate in 1966, and winning the David Murray Scholarship for landscape Painting in the same year. I have taught in Community Education for 26 years, and also ran my own Summer Schools in Oxford, Mull and Somerset.
Besides this I tutored for the BA, CASS and Venice programmes for Sy Clares, and for the Innemore School of Painting, Mull.
I have exhibited in the Summer Exhibition, Moma and The South West Academy of fine and Applied Arts as well as with Private Galleries. At present I am represented by Churchgate Gallery.
I mainly work in Watercolours, mixed media and acrylics. I love teaching and will be there to help and inspire you, or can tailor my tuition to suit individual requirements, in a variety of subjects such as composition, colour, perspective, drawing or watercolours.

WATERCOLOUR 2 with Fiona Forbes
After graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee in 1976, Fiona spent many years living in different European countries where she exhibited widely and taught watercolours.
She is a full member of the Society of Floral Painters and exhibits in the South of England where she now lives.
Passionate about her subject, she enjoys painting all subjects using a vivid and varied palette.
Students will share her knowledge of watercolour painting and experiment with different techniques and methods including wet in wet and incorporating other
mediums to create texture. The aim is to learn and have fun with watercolours through enjoyment.
More information about Fiona can be found at www.fionaforbes.co.uk
WATERCOLOUR 3 with Alison Duncan
Alison is an award winning professional artist and tutor based in Bearsden, Glasgow. Working mostly on a commission basis, she is a member of Bearsden and Milngavie Art Societies. She has exhibited throughout Scotland and the North of England. A graduate of Glasgow School of Art in Ceramic Design, drawing and painting feature strongly in her creative process.
Proficient in several mediums, she strongly believes an individual’s artistic journey is unique and personal. She has a wealth of knowledge and skills which she is keen to share in a relaxed informative way, and to ensure our artistic development is pleasurable, fully supported and personally rewarding.
Alison particularly enjoys portraiture but constantly finds inspiration from the Scottish countryside where she lives.
Since the start of the year, she has been tutoring at U3A Bearsden in painting and drawing and plein air painting.

During the last few years I have concentrated on a particular artist, or period of painting. As I now have quite a lot of material at my disposal, I will decide that this year after consultation with those who are joining this group, to be guided by your wishes, as to how we dip in, enjoy, and enlarge our appreciation and knowledge of this wonderful subject.
This runs for the Month at 5.00 - 6.30pm
